NSF Research Grant to Investigate Nanostructured Cathodes for Metal-Air Batteries

NSF announced a three-year research award to Prof. Sundaresan (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and Prof. Wu (Chemistry and Biochemistry) from Energy for Sustainability Program in September 2015. The focus of this award is to investigate the effect of nanostructured cathode materials in limiting oxygen crossover during oxygen evolution reaction and oxygen reduction reactions (OER/ORR) in metal-air battery. The award announcement and abstract are available on NSF’s website at this URL:

A detailed description of this research and ongoing work will be featured here in the coming days. Please check back for more details.
