NSF research grant for thermoelectric extrusion of smart polymer composites

NSF announces a three-year research award to Prof. Sundaresan (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and Prof. Hall (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering) to investigate thermoelectric extrusion of thermoplastic ionomers with piezoelectric and magnetostrictive particulates and its application towards 3D printing.
